What are 'Dummy Dates'?
Modified on: Thu, 26 Mar, 2020 at 12:18 PM
If you are planning a round the world trip, your consultant may need to book in dates that you do not intend to travel on for the final legs of your journey i.e. confirmed seats for the routing but not the dates you actually want to travel.
This is because the price you pay for your ticket is dependent on the route you choose and the airline needs to see the destinations and number of stops you want in order to confirm the fare.
Your Travel Expert will always advise you of any 'dummy dates' booked. You will need to contact our Global Travel Help Team to make changes to these dates whilst you are away.
Make sure you do this before the dummy date booked has passed otherwise you may be registered as a 'no show' and forfeit the flight.
Please also be aware that there may be a charge to make changes.
