From 01 AUG 2020 all passengers flying with Emirates and Etihad from any airport outside of the UAE must provide a negative COVID-19 test certificate to fly. This means you have to take a test before you travel. It needs to be taken a maximum of 96 hours before you’re due to depart, and is not required for children under the age of 12 and passengers with a severe or moderate disability.

In most countries, there are designated testing labs. If you’re in a country where a testing lab has not been designated, you’ll need to use another accredited testing lab.

Full details of the designated testing labs, regulations, and info on how to book appointments can be found on emirates COVID-19 travel alert  and Etihad COVID-19 travel alert pages.
